Terms of Use

Please read these terms before using Hoppo. By creating an account or using the app, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

1. Parties and service

Hoppo is a mobile app provided by Akatra to help people meet each other. Contact: hoppochat@gmail.com.

See the Privacy Policy for how your data is processed. It should be read together with these terms.

2. Who can use Hoppo

• You must be at least 18 years old. The date of birth you enter at sign-up is checked on our servers; people under 18 cannot sign up.
• The information you provide must be accurate. You may not use an identity or photos that are not yours.
• Each person may have only one account.
• You are responsible for the security of your account; do not share your phone or your Google or Facebook account with others.

3. Account and sign-in

You can sign in with your Google or Facebook account; there is no phone number sign-in. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

4. Rules of conduct

Be respectful on Hoppo. The following are prohibited and may lead to your account being restricted or closed without warning:

• Harassment, threats, hate speech, discrimination or bullying
• Sexual, obscene or violent photos and messages
• Any inappropriate content or behavior involving people under 18
• Impersonating someone, fake profiles or fake photos
• Offering or requesting a relationship in exchange for money, gifts or other material benefit
• Fraud, asking for money, advertising, spam or mass messaging
• Sharing other people's private information or photos without permission
• Any unlawful activity
• Scraping the app with automated tools, trying to bypass security measures or rate limits, or reverse engineering

5. Your content

The photos you upload, the bio you write and your messages are your content. You give us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive permission to use this content only to operate the app (storing it, showing it to other users, delivering it); this permission ends when you delete the content or close your account. You are responsible for having the legal rights to your content and for making sure it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

6. Blocking, reporting and safety

You can block or report any user. We review reports and, where we see fit, may remove content and restrict or close accounts. Rate limits apply to messaging to prevent abuse. We do not promise any specific timeframe or outcome for report reviews. If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency services.

Use your own judgment with the people you meet on Hoppo: do not share personal, financial or account information, and hold first meetings in public places. We verify users' identities and statements only to the extent described in these terms.

7. Coins

• Coins are a virtual currency purchased to use certain features in the app. They cannot be exchanged for real money or any other value and cannot be transferred between users.
• Current prices are shown in the app.
• The coins you buy and spend are recorded in your coin history.
• Coins do not expire. Subject to cases required by law and Google Play's refund rules, coins are non-refundable.
• We may change prices and packs; changes are shown in the app and do not affect coins you have already bought.

8. Premium subscription

• Premium is a paid subscription. Premium members send messages for free and can send photo messages.
• Purchases, renewals, cancellations and payments are handled through Google Play and are subject to Google Play's terms. Price, duration and renewal terms are shown on the purchase screen before you buy. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it.
• You cancel the subscription yourself in Google Play. Deleting your account does not cancel it.
• Refund requests are handled under Google Play's refund rules, without prejudice to your statutory rights.

9. Closing and deleting your account

You can delete your account in the app at any time. When your account is deleted, all your records, including your profile, photos, messages, likes, location and coin wallet, are permanently deleted right away; deleted coins and remaining Premium time are not refunded. You need to cancel your Google Play subscription separately. If you cannot access the app, see the Delete account page.

We may restrict, suspend or close accounts that break these terms, with or without warning. Unused coins in accounts closed for serious violations of these terms are not refunded; your statutory rights remain unaffected.

10. Service interruptions and changes

We aim to provide the service without interruptions or errors but cannot guarantee it. We may change, add or remove features. If we remove a paid feature, we will offer a reasonable solution for unused rights directly affected by it.

11. Limitation of liability

Hoppo is a platform for meeting people. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the consequences of users' behavior, statements or in-person meetings. This does not cover our intent or gross negligence or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Intellectual property

The rights to the app, its name, logo and software belong to Akatra. Your use is a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right limited by these terms.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. We will announce important changes in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Turkish law. For consumer disputes, consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts have jurisdiction; mandatory consumer protection rules of the country you live in remain unaffected. For other disputes, the courts and enforcement offices of Akatra's place of business have jurisdiction.
